Stouts are a brilliant beer invention. The are the offspring of Porters originally and were known as stout porters.
The hallmark of a stout is roasted malted barley. The roasting imparts so many delicious flavours such as caramel, chocolate, coffee and a unique bitterness.
Many different stouts have sprang up over the years and they include…
- Dry Irish Stout.
- Milk Stout.
- Oatmeal Stout.
- Oyster Stout.
- Pastry Stout.
- Coffee Stout.
- Imperial Stout.
- Barrel-Aged Stout.
How many versions have you tried? My favourites are Dry Irish and Milk, delicious.
The Best Non Alcoholic Stouts And Porters To Try
I would recommend trying all these if you like stouts as i do. I am somewhat limited in what i can review and recommend based on what i can actually buy. I’m a UK reviewer so a lot of beers haven’t made it across the pond as of yet but when i get my hands on more North American stouts i will review and recommend the best.
Here are my top 8 stouts which are all worth a try. If you would like to see how the fit into all the beers I’ve drank and reviewed, you can have a look at my complete “Best non alcoholic beers” page and list.
