Infinite Session Non Alcoholic IPA Review

What type of beer is Infinite Session IPA ?

Does Non Alcoholic Beer Taste The Same

No prizes for guessing this beer is an IPA which stands for India Pale Ale.

IPAs hark back to the 1800s in England when beer was made more alcoholic and hoppy to survive the voyage from London to India.

They are top fermenting, warm brewed, hop heavy and bitter beers. When they are alcoholic they would tend to be higher in ABV than say a pale ale.

They have became increasingly popular with the rise of new speciality hops with lots of different flavour profiles like pine, citrus, tropical and berry.

Infinite Session IPA Ingredients

Infinite Session tend to use the same ingredients for all their beers but come out with very different versions.

Infinite Session IPA includes…

  • Water
  • Barley
  • Wheat
  • Oats
  • Hops
  • Yeast

They include quite a few grains but at least there is none of the dreaded “natural flavourings” or anything else weird or wonderful

Infinite Session IPA Nutrition

The Infinite Session range invariably has quite a good nutritional profile. They are generally all low in carbs and sugar and therefore have a low calorie count.

Infinite Session IPA Nutritional Stats

At 12kcal per 100ml, this IPA is has around half the average of all non alcoholic beers (form my average of over 100 NA beers). In anyones book that is good. The carbs is under half the average and the sugar level is still below average so all in all, a solid set of numbers again.

Infinite Session IPA Look

This can has the Infinite Session circle trademark. I am not sure it the is the evolution or the old styling but it is recognisable regardless.

The beer inside is a mid yellow colour, not too straw like and promises at least some flavour.

Infinite Session IPA Aroma

There is an immediate aroma of light pine and citrus hops to be had. They have gone with Amarillo and Cascade hops so there should be plenty of citrus

Infinite Session IPA Taste

This is quite a refined IPA. When you bring the glass to your nose you get the fragrant hops before the first sip.

When you get the beer in you mouth, the citrus hops, with hints of pine, builds up over the next second or so but then stops just when you think it might go overboard or become too bitter.

I am not a huge fan of massively over the top and dry hopped IPAs so this gets me to the edge and stays there nicely.

The mouthfeel is quite creamy and luxurious and the body is pretty full despite the calories.

Infinite Session don’t really make a bad beer.

Infinite Session IPA Verdict

Where to benchmark this? It is in the same ballpark as their Lager and APA but for my palate, this just tops them. This is brilliant IPA.

Infinite Session IPA Score

9/10 Is this the jewel in the Infinite Session crown? Probably. Although on any given Sunday, i could switch to thinking the APA is! The moral of the story is you have to try both the IPA and APA before making your own mind up
